The Task Force of the European Clearing House Mechanism held its 5th Task Force meeting in Bonn on 27 September. The meeting dealt with the new functions of the EC CHM, which permit users to submit news, events and stories in a simple way. All that is submitted will be evaluated for later presentation by EEA, which is EC CHM web site responsible. EEA invites users to test the functions. The meeting also discussed new issues for collaboration on Red Lists and Indicator information. Back-to back with the Task Force meeting Germany hosted a meeting of national Clearing House Mechanisms on 28 September with representatives from both Eastern and Western Europe for sharing experiences on using the CHM for scientific and technical cooperation, especially with third world countries.
