DG Environment is seeking for a temporary agent, duration 3 years plus possible extension of 1 year, at level A4/A5 to work in Brussels and to cover the following duties: <ul> <li> Co-ordinating European Commission's activities on the implementation of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity within Europe and, in particular, the implementation of the European Community Biodiversity Strategy and its Action Plans on Conservation of Natural Resources, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Economic and development Co-operation. <li> Providing scientific and technical support to unit E3, Development and Environment,in international negotiations under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. <li> Co-ordinating the implementation within the European Commission of relevant decisions of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity. <li> Liaising with DG Research, the Joint Research Centre and the European Environment Agency in activities relevant to the previous points above. </ul> Deadline is 25 April 2002. <p> Reference to this selection is 22T/ENV/2002. <p> For the full notification with details of the required qualifications, and application forms, please contact <a href="mailto:eileen.mulcaire@cec.eu.int"> Eileen Mulcaire</a>, BU-5 3/114 (Tel. +32-2-29-69075).<p> Disclaimer: This announcement is for information only and does not bind the European Commission in any way.
