The 2002/03 edition of the important Yearbook of International Cooperation on Environment and Development (Earthscan, 2002) has just been published and carries, amongst insightful summaries of all the major MEAs and NGOs presently working in the field (including Ramsar), a feature article by Michael J. Bowman, Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Nottingham and Director of the University of Nottingham Treaty Centre, entitled "The Ramsar Convention on Wetlands: Has it Made a Difference?".
